Welcome & Introduction

• Arrive, settle in, and meet the host Aakash.
• Brief introduction to the workshop plan, safety guidelines, tools, and materials.

Understanding Wood & Hand Tools

• Learn about types of wood, grain, and textures, followed by a demo on using chisels and mallets.
• Practise basic strokes and etching to get comfortable with control and pressure.

Power Carving Basics

• Introduction to the handheld rotary power carving tool and its attachments.
• Get guidance guests through safe handling, posture, grip and practice exercises using different bits for cutting, shaping, sanding, and buffing.

Guided Personal Project

• Each participant designs and carves a small project such as a wall hanging, bookmark, page holder or similar piece.
• The host offers one-on-one corrections, technique refinement, and finishing support.

Finishing, Buffing & Wrap-Up

• Final sanding, detailing, and polishing of the carved piece.
• Quick recap of techniques, tips to continue carving at home.
• Guests leave with their completed piece and newfound confidence in wood and power carving.
