No, this is a beginner-friendly session and you’ll be guided step by step by a professional ceramic artist.

You’ll be hand-building a Kurinuki-style bowl or box using fine quality stoneware clay, carved out from a solid block using traditional Japanese techniques.

Yes, you can choose between creating a Kurinuki bowl or a box, depending on your preference.

Yes, you can take your clay artwork home as is. However, we recommend leaving it with us for glazing and kiln-firing to turn it into ceramic.

It takes approximately 4 to 5 weeks for your piece to dry completely, be glazed, and fired. We’ll notify you when it’s ready for collection.

While we take great care, if your piece develops cracks during drying or firing, we unfortunately will not be able to glaze or fire it.
