Settle into the beautiful studio space. The session begins with an open ended discussion to explore the group's current understanding of Bharatanatyam and the concept of mindfulness, setting a relaxed and curious tone.

Posture & Awareness
Begin your physical exploration. You will learn the basic postures and their specific uses, focusing your attention on every individual element from the placement of your feet all the way up to your eyebrows.
15 Minutes
Basic Movements
Start moving with intention. You will learn the traditional Namaskaram and its cultural significance, followed by introductory rhythmic steps that focus exclusively on mindful foot movement.

Expressive Mudras
Bring your hands into the practice. You will learn specific basic hand mudras (gestures) required for the final choreography, understanding how hand movements connect with physical and mental expression.

Integration & Break
Bring all three layers together. Experience the deep mindful presence required to coordinate your postures, footwork, and mudras simultaneously at your own pace. Afterward, enjoy a brief 5-minute break to rest and process the learning.

Choreography in Motion
The grand finale. Explore the movements you have learned by blending them into a beautiful, guided choreography. Experience the joy of it all coming together seamlessly with traditional music. You can record yourself for some highly Instagrammable content here as well.
