Participants are welcomed into the studio and introduced to the idea of exploring multiple instruments before choosing one. The instructor explains how keyboard, guitar and drums differ in feel, sound and learning style.

Participants are introduced to the keyboard and basic piano-style note arrangement. They try simple finger exercises, understand key functions and play a small beginner-friendly tune or scale.

Guitar Discovery

Participants are introduced to the guitar, how it is held and how sound is created through strings. They try basic left-hand and right-hand coordination, simple strumming and a beginner-friendly tune or pattern.

Participants learn the parts of a drum set and the sounds each one creates. They begin with tapping, clapping and snapping, practise coordination on a pad and then try a basic rhythm pattern on the drum set.
