I Tried Nervous System Reset in Whitefield and Here’s What Happened

Floating into Deep Rest with Cocooned Aerial Yoga Nidra

Join me as I share what it felt like to experience the Nervous System Reset session in Whitefield , a unique blend of aerial yoga and Yoga Nidra that offered me a deep sense of calm and rejuvenation like never before.

Feeling the Float: How Cocooned Deep Rest Starts

So, the moment you step inside the space, you notice the natural light and calming vibes. The room is filled with these lovely beige aerial hammocks gently swaying, inviting you to let go. I grabbed the app from the Google Play Store, searched for Nervous System Reset: An Aerial Yoga Nidra Meditation, checked availability, and booked my session. Once there, the coach warmly guided us through a centring breath practice to draw attention inward. This initial calming step felt like a soft welcome, as if saying, “Hey, it’s okay to pause now.”

Setting Intentions and Sinking into Stillness

Next up was the intention setting and the yogic tradition of Sankalp, where we consciously planted a seed of focus for the session. I remember choosing something simple but meaningful , just to find calm in my busy mind. Then came the real magic: lying back in the hammock, feeling fully supported, and being gently guided through body awareness. The rotation of consciousness practice took me on a mindful journey from my right hand all the way to my left foot and beyond. It was like my body was waking up to itself in the most soothing way. This part reminded me of how powerful it is to slow down and really feel each part of you.

Breath, Visualisation, and Floating Free

The breathing exercises were next , we started with reverse breath counting, which helped keep my mind from wandering. It was surprisingly tricky but calming at the same time. Then came the visualisation, where the guide invited us to imagine serene scenes that sparked a sense of healing and creativity. I pictured gentle waves and soft clouds, and honestly, it felt like my nervous system was taking a deep, cleansing breath. The hammock cradled me perfectly as I floated, suspended between wakefulness and dreaminess. If you want to try this reset yourself, don’t forget to download the Alive app and secure your spot , it’s worth every minute.

Coming Back Refreshed and Grounded

Finally, the session gently guided us back to wakefulness with a mindful breath count ascending upwards. I felt like I was waking up from the best nap ever , relaxed yet alert, calm but energized. The coach encouraged us to stay present and notice the effects of the practice. I once had an experience where deep relaxation seemed impossible, but this time, floating in that hammock with the Yoga Nidra guidance, I truly felt my nervous system reset. The entire 51 minutes felt like a gift to my body and mind. Afterward, I lingered a bit in the cozy couch area, sipping water from the dispenser and feeling grateful for the peaceful pause.
